    Figured i'd share some footage of a Mod project I'm working on called FireSiege.

    The mod is based directly on FireFall using Starsiege Tribes as a base for all my work.
    I've been developing mods since late 1998 and just recently had the idea to remake FireFall on the Tribes1 engine(DarkStar) because i loved FF for a good bit of time but i want some multiplayer action.

    I'm about a month into coding this project and it's been a lot of fun but also a lot of hard work to get things from a modern game to work on an engine that is 15 years old this month. So far Armors/Weapons/Abilities/HKMs are all being worked out at least a few a day. Everything I've done so far is 100% based on stats from the game, so when you fire an Assault Rifle in my mod it will act exactly as the Assault Rifle in FireFall from reload speed to spread to damage etc.
    Thumping is coming close to how i want it to work and should make the game have a nice team focus.

    Anyhow here is a short video i made today showing off the Recon's Decoy Ability, The Recon's AirStrike HKM, Stock Assault Rifle and The BioTech's Bio Needler.

    A few 100% finished items to show a bit of.

    Each armor has mounted items to tell each class apart easily, made to resemble FF armor as best the game can and the mounted items will never at anytime be unmountable. (Maybe fun for some type of tracking by pack later.. who knows :) )

    If you look at the Item Hud to the left each weapon has 2 Items hi-lighted. The larger number is current loaded ammo and the second right below that is how many clips you have available. Works perfect with my reloading system.


    I think well written code is art so thats why i think it should be here :)

    Really blown away now :)

    I appreciate the mention on the community spot light, that is a really big motivational boost and will make the 10-12 hour coding sessions a bit nicer.

    Oh wow, I thought development had stopped on this mod. Glad to see you're still going!

    It's Tribes- it's Firefall- it's good! What more could you possibly want?! :p

    Lemme know if you need any .dif buildings made, I still have the old Hammer kicking around! :p

    Yes, that was taken care of sorry for the error. Some addons don't play well with others :(

    On a side note all Weapons and primary fire functions are finished, the next step is tricking the game into an Alt fire for each weapon. Wish tribes had an Alt fire function but i'm sure i can whip something up.

    I'm also hosting a test server each night at 9pm est until 12am est.

    What Noah said. Do you have a server up with this running? Wouldn't mind "testing" (playing the hell out of) it! ;D

    The mod runs off of Tribes, In my resources section is multiple downloads of the full game (1.11-1.30 required). Once downloaded and installed thats all you need. ATM most testing has stopped for a holiday break but will resume after new years. I've still been hosting but at odd hours 2am-4am.
